Congrats to the Schoettle's!

On Saturday morning, one of my dearest girlfriends in Indy married her fiance, Mark and became Mrs Cassy Schoettle! I'm so happy for her and so excited for her to embark on this new life with Mark. I was a little nervous going to this wedding because it was at Our Lady of Greenwood...a Catholic church. I try to avoid these Catholic weddings. They are too long! Fortunately, their's lasted about 30 minutes and we were out the door. We went to Buca de Beppo for lunch and then off to Knock Outs for the reception. I had a blast at the reception. I got into a little bit of a fight with one of Mark's sisters about Catholism and why I don't practice anymore. I had to end that conversation pretty quickly.

On a good note, here is a picture of Lisa, me, and Cassy at the reception. The bar was really dark and my phone doesn't take that great of pictures. Hopefully the bride will share her pictures.


On Sunday, I got up early because I signed up to volunteer for Dig Indiana. It was kind of a last minute thing. Some of my friends make fun of me because I'm obsessed with Twitter. However, I saw someone tweet that they still needed volunteers for this event and so I signed up. I think that's pretty cool. Dig Indiana is a brand new event in Indy at White River Park. All the chefs from the top restaurants come and cook samples of some of their foods for people to try. Also, all the local breweries come too so you can sample their beers. The event is $20 to get to try a lot of different kinds of food and drink that you may not normally get to have. I worked the front desk area carding people and giving out wristbands. I had a blast doing it. The only bad thing was, by the time I got off to sample foods, most of the places I wanted to try had run out of food. :-(

We also gained another dog for the week. We are babysitting Cassy and Mark's beagle mix puppy, Layla while they are on their honeymoon. Usually for about 24 hours, these two go crazy on each other and then, from what I hear, they calm down. I really hope so. Last night,we couldn't get to the two of them to calm down for bed so we decided to keep Layla in her kennel for the night. Well, she cried the whole night which kept Hank up which kept me up which kept Chris up. Then I got up early this morning and tried feeding them seperately but whoever was in their kennel whined the whole time the other one was eating. Haha, I hope my neighbors don't hate me right now!
